Lead Pastor

With over 40 years of active ministry, Pastor Allen and Deb bring a wealth of experience, wisdom, and passion to Life In Christ Center. Their journey began right here in The Dalles, where they started as youth pastors—and now, decades later, they’ve come full circle, believing God has brought them back “for such a time as this.”

Together, they have served in pastoral ministry for 22 years in Oregon and another 18 years in Minnesota, faithfully leading churches and loving people along the way. Pastor Allen has worn many hats over the years—including Sectional Presbyter, Rotary President, football coach, Bible teacher, and faculty at the Minnesota School of Ministry—always investing in both the Church and the community.

Deb has stood faithfully alongside him, ministering in children’s and music ministries, teaching, organizing, and helping create a strong foundation in every church they’ve served.

They’re proud parents of two adult children:

• Marcus, born in The Dalles, is now a church planter and pastor in Rogers, Minnesota, raising four children with his wife.

• Robyn, born in the Philippines, lives in The Dalles, is actively involved in ministry, and has two children of her own.

When they're not serving, Allen and Deb love to enjoy God’s creation—biking, hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors.

They are honored to be part of Life In Christ Center and look forward to serving here as long as the Lord leads.

Worship and Media Pastor

Tyler and Lizzy Selves are a joyful and faith-filled couple who bring passion and sincerity to everything they do. Tyler serves as the Worship Pastor at Life In Christ Church, where he leads with authenticity, humility, and a heart fully devoted to Jesus.

A self-taught musician, Tyler has been faithfully leading worship for many years. His love for worship ministry, young adults, and servant leadership is evident in every note he plays and every relationship he builds. He’s honored to be part of what God is doing at Life In Christ and is committed to helping others encounter God's presence through music and ministry.

Tyler and Lizzy were married in the summer of 2024 and are excited to serve the Lord together as a team. Their love for God, each other, and the church is a blessing to everyone around them.

Pastor Emeritus

Dr. J. W. Jepson served faithfully as the Lead Pastor of Life In Christ Center from 1995 to 2013 and continues to be an active and valued part of our church family as Pastor Emeritus.

An ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, Dr. Jepson has been in ministry since 1950, serving as an evangelist, pastor, teacher, and administrator. His rich legacy of leadership and biblical scholarship continues to bless and inspire generations.

His academic background includes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Messenger College

• A Master’s in General Studies – Social Science from Southern Oregon University

• A Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from Western Seminary

Dr. Jepson is also a prolific author and communicator, with a wide range of books, articles, and essays available both in print and online at jwjepson.com. He shares biblical insight weekly through his long-running TV program, "Compact" on KRHP TV14.

Arrow Youth Directors

Steven and Colleen Derryberry serve as the passionate and dedicated directors of Arrow Youth at Life In Christ Center, where they lead with vision, authenticity, and a heart for the next generation.

While raising seven amazing children of their own, they pour into the lives of teens with the same love, commitment, and Christ-centered guidance. Through teaching, mentoring, and building authentic relationships, Steven and Colleen are helping to shape a generation of young people who know their identity in Christ and are equipped to walk boldly in their faith.

Their lives are a powerful example of leadership grounded in faith, family, and purpose—and we’re incredibly blessed to have them investing in the youth of our church and community.
